Hello everybody!

I learned english at school and spent one year abroad to improve it(11 years ago). Now I have been living in Germany for 4 years and had to get used to speaking in another foreign language most of the time. As a result, I have forgotten my good English :-( But I decided to get it back!!!

Now my question:

Does anybody know any serious internet sites, where I could find "penpals" (or "e-mail-pals")? I am 28 now and I do not want the typical site for people at school, I would rather like to get in touch with people older than 25 (nothing against youger people, but I thing I would have more in common with people in my age) and from Great Britain (nothing against other nationalities, but I don´t want to get used to mix different English types and not be able to speak any of them 100% correctly at the end). I offer to correct Spanish in exchange.

I'm an Irishman living in Hamburg for 3 years and have also had to deal with learning German. As a result I find I am using English less and less and my English is believe it or not becoming worse and worse. I would gladly help out as I need to speak more English sonst werde ich alles vergessen!!!!!

While waiting for your pen-pals, you can also help yourself by reading English books and listening to broadcasts in English. I am sure even in Germany you can find quite a few English channel TV and FM stations. And by the way, the Americans control the English language now, so you might as well start listening stations such as CNN.

I have been struggling to even start spanish recently. It is a language i have always wanted to learn, but never seem to get the time.
I would be more than happy to help you "re-learn" English, although i am sure you will get it back again in no time.
