What's a good career change for a teacher who quits?
I was disheartened with trying to manage challenging behaviour in my home country, so became an ESL teacher in Asia, now I'm missing my homeland. I need to get into another job, and I'm not very interested in substitute teaching. I did that and lived off my credit card, and came to Asia to pay that off!!!!
OMG!!!!! Any ideas?

My sister burned out on teaching and became a postal worker.
But I think what you need to do is seriously think about what things you enjoy in life and how you want to spend your time.
Instead of thinking how you can earn a good living, instead think about what your passion is - what can you do that won't feel like work. Then explore that and see if it will pay the bills.

People who quit teaching have many different individual characteristics and talents..
It would appear that you may have some fluency in more than one language. You might want to use that in a new occupation.
You probably have some college or even a college degree. Look for jobs under the heading of college. You will find that your own education is an advantage.
Many colleges give at little or no cost a test of your vocational aptitudes. Take one and the results will include a number of occupational guidelines and suggestions..
In any case keep looking and you will find. Good luck.

My sister left teaching to become a medical transcriptionist and loves it!!! Teachers make GREAT medical transcriptionists! You would need some training, but you can work at home, have flexibility, and earn MORE than when you were teaching : ) Best wishes to you.
