I'm a Singaporean Chinese with a Masters degree in English Language Education. I can speak English, Mandarin and French fluently. My forte is really in teaching English but I know most schools want to hire only teachers who are native speakers of English.

Yes, English teachers should be native English speakers. There is no need for Asian immigrants to be teaching English to Europeans. Teach English to Asians (they will not notice the difference). Ask a French school about teaching French and see what they say. :))
